Dr. Czajka is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in the management of the multiply injured patient with an emphasis on surgical treatment of complex acute musculoskeletal injuries and the management of problem fractures such as non-unions and malunions. His specialized training includes the treatment of extremity injuries, open and percutaneous treatment of injuries to the pelvic ring and acetabulum, and advanced utilization of both internal and external fixation techniques of acute fractures and “cold” trauma. Additionally, Dr. Czajka works closely with other area specialists to focus on bone health and the treatment of osteoporosis/osteopenia.

Dr. Czajka received his undergraduate degree in political science from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where he was a four-year member and captain of the NCAA Division I Baseball Team. He attended medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He went on to complete fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma at the University of Texas at Houston in Houston, TX. 

Dr. Czajka has authored numerous publications and book chapters in several aspects of orthopaedic surgery as well as having presented research nationally and internationally. He is a partner of the American Orthopaedic Association’s Own the Bone® program and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. Additionally, Dr. Czajka is involved in resident education as a member of the teaching faculty for AO North America, an international orthopaedic trauma organization.

  • Board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon Cory Czajka, M.D., was an author of an article published in an international orthopaedic journal.

    Dr. Czajka and his fellow authors give a comprehensive review of hip joint care following a type of hip fracture, extracapsular, fixated with a device called a cephalomedullary nail.
