MRI Technologist
The Bone & Joint Center is seeking an MRI technologist to work in our MRI department. As an MRI technologist, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Further, you will monitor video display of area being scanned and adjust density to improve picture quality and review and evaluate computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
This position is full-time in the evenings, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Closely following a Physician’s instructions, preparing and operating MRI equipment, positioning patients correctly, and effectively recording the requested diagnostic images
- Performing MRI examinations of the body, spine, and extremities on patients of all ages, effectively adjusting scanning parameters for different patient body habitus
- Photographing, archiving, and retrieving images
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must have a current NYS license and at least 2 years of recent MRI Tech experience.
