The Bone & Joint Center Offering Safe Care for All Orthopaedic Needs During COVID-19
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, The Bone & Joint Center is remaining open to reduce ER and traditional urgent care traffic for area residents with bone, joint and muscle concerns. The practice is also taking all necessary precautions by following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as the New York State Department of Health. For those who have an orthopaedic condition or injury, you are encouraged to call (518) 489-2666 to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also accepted at the practice’s Albany location at 1367 Washington Ave., Suite 200.
“During this difficult time with COVID-19, we are continuing to serve the Capital Region for their bone, joint and muscle needs,” says Dr. George Zanaros, board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at The Bone & Joint Center. “We know many area residents have concerns visiting an ER or traditional urgent care, and our clinic and urgent care remain open to provide new and existing patients with prompt and effective orthopaedic treatment to alleviate some strain on our health system.”
Patients can also walk into The Bone & Joint Center’s Orthopaedic Urgent Care at their Albany location during the following hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In alignment with the CDC and New York State Department of Health, The Bone & Joint Center is taking the following precautions:
- A screening process has been set up for patients to go through upon arrival to keep sick or at-risk patients out of the office.
- We have systems in place to avoid crowded waiting rooms.
- We sterilize every exam room between patient visits.
- All staff are using proper protective gear, masks and eye protection.
“We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations set forth by the CDC and New York State Department of Health to ensure we’re doing everything we can to keep our patients and staff healthy,” says Dr. Zanaros.
