“I was in a car accident that fractured my talus. After the first operation, I had a lot of pain in the ankle. Dr. DiPreta worked with me for a few years to figure out how to fix the pain. After numerous cortisone injections that didn't last long, I opted for fusion. My ankle was fused right at the Bone & Joint Center in an operation. “This is my second ankle replacement procedure and it was much better than the first. The pain management in the hospital was great especially compared to the first experience. The hospital stage was 2 days compared to 5 on the first go around. The second ankle motion is much better than the first and less muscle pain. Dr. DiPreda and his staff are very nice and responsive to my needs. Overall I have had a good experience with the Bone & Joint Center and it looks like I have them looking after my ankles for the rest of my life.”

Surgery was uncomplicated and after four months of physical therapy I was fully functional, pain-free, and completely satisfied. I just finished pouring a 2'x24' concrete slab in front of my garage, after excavating the area by hand, so I know that the tendon 'works'.”
