“I was happy to be referred to Dr. Alley, since he had treated a recurring knee problem in the past and recommended that I see a second orthopaedist to address the larger problem. My consultations with Dr. Alley at this point in time were a model of how medicine should be practiced. He asked for the history of my current problem, listened and asked questions, reviewed my previous x-rays with me, and pointed out what he could see. He physically examined and evaluated my shoulder's functioning, and then explained why he thought an MRI was needed to rule out a soft tissue problem. When I returned for the results, he reviewed the MRI imaging with me, showed me an exercise that might help for now, and outlined additional treatment options that I could choose in the future. In all of my interactions with Dr. Alley over the past several years, I've found him to be pleasant, courteous, thorough, and able to communicate clearly without using a lot of technical jargon.”
