“In early May, I fell and felt pain in my left leg. I requested an appointment with Dr. Richard Alfred, who saw me the same afternoon. He reviewed my xrays and quickly diagnosed a non-displaced fracture in my left fibula. He recommended that I carry on with my normal activities. Dr. Alfred indicated that the pain would dissipate in approximately six weeks and that I could take over the counter pain relievers such as Advil or Aleve.
He checked in with me over the subsequent weeks and his estimate of my recovery was spot on. I did not miss a day of work, nor teaching, and in the time frame Dr. Alfred had indicated, my leg was, indeed, back to normal.”
