PATIENT ADVOCACY | Last week, Dr. Patrick Marinello and Dr. Dionisio Ortiz represented The Bone & Joint Center at the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference (NOLC) advocacy meeting in Washington, D.C.

Together with members of AAOS and the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, they met with staffers from Congressman Paul Tonko's and Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand’s offices to lobby for Medicare payment reform and prior authorization reform to improve access to care for Medicare patients.

Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons Keegan P. Cole, M.D., and Patrick G. Marinello, M.D., were recently featured speakers at an orthopaedic seminar, where they spoke about treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome and thumb carpometacarpal.
